STEP TO A CURE 5K TO BENEFIT RELAY FOR LIFE

Cancer affects us all. As an island community we have come together to rally behind this worthy cause.  In years past, Coca-Cola, Foremost Foods, Subway Restaurants and Glimpses of Guam, Inc. as a group of companies, has had great success in raising money for the American Cancer Society Relay For Life through independent efforts from each company.

“We really want to pull together on this, especially because it’s raising money for such a great cause.  By pulling our resources, Glimpses, Coca-Cola Beverage Company Guam, Subway and Foremost Foods will be able to raise money in the battle against cancer in a single effort,” says Marcos Fong, Managing Director of Glimpses of Guam, Inc. 

Contributions from the Group will be as follows:

• Subway - proceeds from April/May up-size value meal promo to be donated to Relay For Life.
• Coca-Cola – Contributions raised from Diet Coke ”Fighting for a Cure” campaign, which gives $0.05 per 12 pack.
• Foremost - Product support of 5K including Crystal Clear water, yogurt, ice and juice.
• Glimpses of Guam, Inc. – Organizers of Step to a Cure 5k on May 17, 2009 at Paseo, portion of the proceeds will be donated for the Relay For Life event. 

The Glimpses of Guam, Inc. “Step to a Cure 5K” will start and end at Paseo on Sunday, May 17.  This 5k Run/Walk is a celebration of the continuing fight against cancer. Registration forms can be downloaded at our Foremost website,www.coke-foremost.com or are available at the Coca-Cola/Foremost, Glimpses offices in upper Tumon or at Hornet Sporting Goods.
