The University of Guam and theUniversity of Guam Endowment Foundation, Inc. are pleased to announce the UOG Community Annual Fundraising launch with a merienda on Friday, May 8, 2009 from 3:00p.m. – 5:00p.m. The event takes place on the UOG campus grounds across the Business Office, in front of the College of Natural & Applied Sciences, overlooking Marine Lab and the UOG Sea (Pacific Ocean).
The UOG Endowment Foundation, Inc. with the community leadership of Annual Fundraising Co-Chairs, Laura-Lynn Dacanay and Former Lt. Governor, Frank Blas, aims to motivate and call to action the community to embrace and participate by donating or increase gift-giving to the University. Future campaigns include the Alumni community and local community of Corporations and Individuals. Increased resources will enhance educational opportunities for students as the transformational institution of our island society.
The UOG Community Fundraising Merienda is the first roll-out event in a series of activities that will be held throughout the year. This Annual Fund Drive will begin with the UOG Community of faculty, staff, and administrators raising 100% participation and $65,000 by the end of 2009.
We look forward to the UOG community to promote, donate and assist in the UOG Community Annual Fundraising Campaign. The University of Guam is an educational institution committed to research, teaching and learning as the “Natural Choice” for higher education seekers.
